Exercises for tired legs

Leg pain is a common symptom for a large number of people at the end of the day.

Itching, tingling, fatigue, and cramps are some indications that your legs are tired and need exercise to help circulation and decrease tension in the lower body.

Here are some exercises to help improve these symptoms.

  • Flex your toes and feet:
  • This exercise can be done sitting or lying down. Stretch your legs then flex and extend your toes for several seconds to stimulate circulation. Then continue doing the same exercise with your feet. Feel how the calf stretches when doing the movement.

  • Bicycle movement:
  • Lie down, bend your legs, and start simulating the pedaling of a bicycle. This exercise will loosen your legs and help you feel less heaviness. You can repeat the movement 15 or 20 times.

  • Leaning ON heels and toes:
  • Stand on tiptoe and then lower your feet to lean on your heels for a few seconds. Repeat this movement several times. This exercise will help pump the blood and drain the area of the feet, where much of the pain is concentrated at the end of the day.

  • Open and close your legs:
  • Lie down and lift your legs at a 90-degree angle, stretch them completely and then start the exercise by opening and closing your legs for 30 or 40 seconds.
