Not treating Varicose Veins may lead to health risks

Varicose veins are inflamed veins caused by malfunction of the valves and walls lining. If they are not strong enough to carry the blood from the feet, against gravity, and back to the heart; the blood is returned to the vein and accumulates causing the inflammation.

Although, the aesthetic appearance of enlarged and inflamed veins or spider veins is not ideal, it is even more important to realize the serious health complications that this condition of venous insufficiency or varicose veins could bring, which can be prevented by visiting a medical specialist.

Varicose ulcers: appear as a result of skin irritation. They occur mostly on the inside of the ankles and are painful, difficult to heal and can be easily infected.
