Prepare your skin for laser hair Removal

Laser hair removal is one of the most sought-after options for both men and women to eliminate unwanted hair.

If you have decided on laser hair removal, Salud 360 wants to share some recommendations to keep in mind before and after starting your treatment:

Before laser hair removal:

  • Specialists recommend shaving the area to be treated at least two days before your session.
  • Avoid waxing or tweezing before a laser session.
  • Avoid sun exposure between 15 and 10 days before each session; sunburn could cause burning or irritation to the skin.
  • Keep the area to be treated clean.
  • Do not use creams, perfumes, or deodorants with alcohol that can impede the laser device’s effectiveness.

After laser hair removal

The result of any treatment also depends on the patient’s care after each procedure. It is recommended that you:

  • Moisturize the skin with an alcohol-free product; it can be aloe vera.
  • Avoid direct exposure to the sun between 10 and 15 days after the session. It is also recommended to use sunscreen.
  • Exfoliate the skin at least once a week to remove dead cells.
  • If you notice any changes in the skin, immediately contact the specialist who performed your treatment.
